My Observations

This is a letter I submitted the Posey County News. It appeared in today’s edition.

Feel free to post it.

The recent letter that appeared in the Posey County News praising President Biden and criticizing President Trump was curious. The individual who submitted it admitted it was a copy and paste, it was someone else’s words, not their own. It’s not an uncommon practice for someone who can’t express their own thoughts to do so.

I would like to share my observations on what this current administration has done. On the first day of office President Biden revoked the cross-border permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. That blunder ended the prospect for 16,000 to 50,000 jobs and 3 to 9 billion dollars of economic impact. As a result Biden had to ask Venezuela to up oil production. Then last year he withdrew 180 million barrels from the strategic reserve which dropped it to the lowest level since the 1980’s.

Then Biden made a name for himself with the tragic and humiliating Afghanistan pullout leaving behind over 7 BILLION dollars, (7,000,000,000) worth of weapons and some our most sophisticated technology. It’s been reported some those small arms are showing up in conflicts in other parts of the world.

Given the fact that Mr. Biden has a difficult time finding his way off the stage it’s understandable why he can’t get to the border. Numbers of 5 to 7 million border crossings are estimated under this administration.

Our country has a 32 TRILLION dollar debt, (32,000,000,000,000). Our military is dealing with low inventories on munitions such as 155mm Howitzer artillery rounds because of Biden’s reckless transfer of our defense systems to Ukraine. We now have the matter of China, Russia, North Korea and Iran now having displayed their willingness to work together in military exercises.

The whole world watches our news. They see a President who cannot make it up the steps of Air Force One, falling off a bicycle, falling on a stage and falling asleep in front of a camera. They see a Vice President who is consumed with Venn diagrams and yellow school buses. This nation’s advisories are not afraid of us, some have said as much.

This is the largest collection of misfits ever assembled in my lifetime, nothing to brag about.
