Merry Christmas

Patriots,

During the Christmas time it’s not uncommon to recall Christmases from the past. For whatever reason the Christmas of 1969 crossed my mind this year.

I was 8,458 miles from home in Vietnam. I spent Christmas night in a trench ankle deep in water on a perimeter around Camp Evans.

Being cold and wet couldn’t keep me from thinking about family back home. In my mind’s eye I could see my Mom, Dad, my brother and my wife Margie (Fiancé) at the time. With the glow of colorful lights and wrapped packages all around I knew they were thinking of me, too.

55 Christmases later much has changed, some members are no longer here and new ones arrived.

Each passing year I have a deeper appreciation of the true meaning of Christmas and the birth of Christ. I pray that families will be together on Christmas.

Merry CHRISTMAS to all.
Jim Tomes

Margie and I want to also remind everyone there is NO 2nd Amendment Patriots this month. See you in January.
